13-year-old led deputies on 100 mph multi-county chase
A 13-year-old is in custody after leading deputies on a chase through multiple counties, reaching speeds of 100 mph, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
The chase ended in a crash in southeast Raleigh at Poole Road in Carver Street in Raleigh when the driver struck a power pole. Sky 5 on flew over the Raleigh crash around 12:30 p.m.
The chase began in Bladen County, continued into Cumberland and Johnston counties and ended near southeast Raleigh, when a driver was taken into custody. Once in custody, deputies determined it was a 13-year-old boy.
The boy was transported to WakeMed as a precaution and will face charges once released, according to officials.
