The website Downdetector.com, which allows customers to report outages or connectivity issues, had 31,800 reports of AT&T issues before 6 a.m. The number jumped to 61,450 AT&T outages before 8 a.m.
Most reports came from customers in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Dallas, San Antonio, Atlanta, San Francisco, San Diego and New York City.
Many users reported issues with cell service specifically, with “SOS” appearing at the top of their phones.
