Fatal crash reported in Hampshire County
ROMNEY, W.Va. — A Hampshire County man died in a single car crash Sunday but the crash scene wasn’t discovered until Monday afternoon.
Hampshire County deputies report Jason Shingleton, 26, of Purgitsville, was last seen early Sunday morning. He was reported missing Monday morning.
Deputies said a resident spotted Shingleton’s vehicle over an embankment in a creek bed along U.S. Route 50 near the intersection of Fox Hollow Road.
Shingleton had been ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
